Abstract
ThispaperfocusesonatwofoldrelationalgeneralizationofthenotionofGaloisconnec-tion.Itistwofoldbecauseitisdefinedbetweensetsendowedwitharbitrarytransitiverelationsand,moreover,bothcomponentsoftheconnectionarerelations,notnecessar-ilyfunctions.AcharacterizationtheoremofthenotionofrelationalGaloisconnectionisprovidedand,then,itisprovedthatasuitablenotionofclosurecanbeobtainedwithinthisframework.Finally,westateanecessaryandsufficientconditionthatallowstobuildarelationalGaloisconnectionstartingfromasingletransitivedigraphandasinglebinaryrelation.
