Many years ago already the federal High Health Council did warn against trans FA. In Canada, Norway, the USA a.o. countries the label of prepared foods mentions the presence or absence of trans FA, but not in Belgium.
In the published version of the letter the newspaper omitted several sentences, such as the industrial origin of most trans FA and their presence in margarines. After publication I added a paragraph on plant sterols.}},
