Abstract
This study is an investigation into gendered lived experiences of female teacher educators in Uganda. I illuminate their storied lives, highlighting the multiplicity in their realities and disrupting the monolithic female Victim narrative pervasively used to produce Third World women. I also identify discourses used to constitute female subjectivity in Uganda, highlighting women's agency in negotiating gendered norms.
