Singularnost in realno, ki ga ne moremo zapisati: Frege pri poznem Lacanu

- This paper discusses what Lacan aims to make clear as he discusses Frege's concepts Sinn and Bedeutung in the 197os. The paper starts with a short discussion of Frege's concepts Sinn and Bedeutung, which makes clear that Frege also discerns a related third dimension: the Vorstellung or idea. Next, important lines of thought in Lacan's work from the 1970s are discussed, as well as his specific use of Frege's concepts Sinn and Bedeutung. It is argued that for Lacan, Bedeutung refers to the dimension of the Real, as primarily expressed at the level of sexuality and the sexual relation. Sinn, in its turn, refers to the signifiers that make up the unconscious, and to the equivocality of the signifieds that are associated with these signifiers. Lacan does not discuss the Vorstellung explicitly, but in terms of the logic of the discourse of the analyst I suggest that it can be situated at the level of free that all analytic work begins with.
