Abstract
In this article the author focusses on how ‘sexualisation’ and the dynamics it implies is an essential aspect of our (and perhaps any) culture. By locating sexualisation in a broader cultural and dynamic framework, the author wants to present a nuanced perspective on sexualisation, thereby opening up a space for tracing (possible) positive aspects of ‘the sexualisation of culture’. Special attention is being paid at the discussion within (post)feminism on (female) agency in a neo-liberal sexualized and commodified public sphere.
