- Abstract
- This thesis is a comparative study between the Greenhouse Gas emissions trading systems of the European Union (EU ETS) and China. These are essentially two different systems, of which the Chinese ETS is still in its starting phase. Two major research questions are dealt with, what lessons can be learned from the EU ETS design and practice for China, and can these two ETSs be linked and under what conditions.
