abstract
Dairy cow farms that stopped their activities after 1989 were taken in administration (bought, rented, etc.) by different farmers or investors who want to start a business inside those buildings, with a proper renovation, modem breeding and exploitation technologies that respect both national and international normative. Three constructive systems were, studied. They have three openings by transversal direction: 9.00 + 9.00 + 9.00 m; 7.50 + 9.00 + 7.50 m; 6.00 + 9.00 + 6.00 m, and are most frequently found in Transylvania. Initially, they were designed for dairy cows tide system, but were transformed in free stall accommodation with individual resting area in cubickes. The study of 12 considered variants show us that 27.00 and 24.00 openings are not suitable for this breeding technology without restrictions.
