Planning of survivable WDM transport networks based on interconnected optical channel protected rings

Abstract
In this paper we present a methodological approach to planning interconnected optical channel protected rings using a multi-phased heuristic. The main building blocks of the heuristic will be outlined and results on a sample network will be discussed.
