- Abstract
- We argue that the rockets fired by Palestinians to Israeli territory are ethically and legally permitted,in accordance with international law. The State of Israel is in war with the Palestinians; it besieges the Gaza strip; it occupies Palestinian land; it kills and emprisons their leaders; it destroys houses, water sources and fields. Israeli war propaganda repeats that the rockets target civilian population; but there is no proof of such intention. The primitive rockets have low aiming capacity, and cause very few casualties. On the other hand Israeli territory is filled with legitimate military targets, including armed IDF soldiers on the beach of Tel-Aviv and on shopping malls in Jeruzalem (illustrated).A long term solution depends on European initiatives.
