- We report the synthesis of the A and T 2',3'-dideoxyapionucleosides and their corresponding Pro-Tide derivatives from 1,2-isopropylidene-α-L-threose involving carbon homologation and microwave-assisted Vorbrüggen coupling. These compounds were evaluated against a panel of viruses, cancer cell lines, adenosine receptors, thymidine kinases and thymidylate kinase of M. tuberculosis.
