Reflectie en radicalisering van maatschappelijke tendensen binnen de subcultuur van ecstasygebruikers : verheviging van genotsbeleving en strooptocht naar kicks en sensaties

Abstract
This paper is a reproduction of the theoretical study conducted in the frame of our Ph D research to the subculture of ecstasy users. This study offers a survey of our theoretical analysis and findings and it is framed within the contemporary movement of research into the sociological phenomenon of the raveculture, the subculture in which a combination is made of ecstasy consumption and recreational polydrug use, dance and entertainment. We assume that members of the raveculture first of all introduce conducts and procedures from the surrounding environment into their subculture and secondly radicalise, process and transform these conducts and procedures within the frame of their subculture. We focus our analysis within this on the radicalisation of the notion of "pleasure" and on the concepts of permissive tolerance and the semi-autonomous social field.
