The effects of desire: desire as motivator

Abstract
This research investigates the influence of desire on a person’s self-esteem, subjective happiness and satisfaction with life. Two studies indicate that a feeling of desire triggers a higher self-esteem and subjective happiness on the one hand, but a lower satisfaction with life on the other hand.
