Robust segmentation methods for aortic pulse wave velocity measurement

Abstract
Pulse wave velocity (PWV) has proven to be an important parameter in diagnosing certain diseases, as well as predicting their outcomes. For PWV measurement the segmentation of MRI images of abdomen and four pairs of modulus-encoded and velocity-encoded images is required. We propose in this work a set of robust segmentation methods based on our segmentation using projections method and shortest path calculation.
