Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (gord) in children with severe neurodevelopmental disabilities

Abstract
A case report is presented of a little girl with cerebral palsy, GORD and malnutrition due to insufficient intake caused by oral motor problems. After combined laparoscopic fundoplication and PEG placement, she is gaining weight and progress in psychomotor development. Causes, presenting symptoms and special considerations regarding GORD in patients with neurodevelopmental disabilities are discussed.
