Electrochemical investigation of automotive coating systems

Abstract
A number of coating systems consisting of materials commonly used in the automotive industry have been examined by means of impedance spectroscopy. Two different approaches have been undertaken, the first being long term exposure measurements and the second being water permeation experiments. It is demonstrated that both approaches can be used in a complementary manner.
