Supplementary files and data accompanying the paper "Beech latewood density as a proxy for temperature reconstruction" (DOI: https://doi.org/10.1126/sciadv.aee1305) This repository includes:  All files related to the anatomical analysis The optical scans (binned down from 0.2 µm resolution to 2 µm resolution to save space; contact the authors for the full-sized images) The anatomical segmentation masks (please note these were optimized for latewood segmentations; the earlywood sections should not be used) The annotated training data (in YOLO format)  The final YOLOv8l model weights All Python code related to the anatomical analysis All files related to the figures and statistical analysis All R code (always download the latest version of XCT.read before running: https://github.com/UGent-Woodlab/XCT.read-R-function) All raw tree-ring and climatological data The output figures and tables All output chronologies Cite Verschuren et al. 2026 when using these files.
