Why the Hamburg Summit is critical for the Belgian offshore wind sector

Abstract
On 26 January 2026, the heads of state and government of the North Sea countries will meet with a challenging mission: to create a turning point for the European offshore wind sector. Drawing on insights from the BE‑WISE research project, we formulate five lessons regarding the Belgian offshore wind industry and three recommendations for the Hamburg Summit.
