Abstract
A clear division of the elogium of Ramtha Matulnei (Ta 1.169) can lead to a review of the gaps in this famous inscription, with several plausible integrations possible. All this can contribute not only to a correct interpretation of verb forms built on the root acn-, but also to a possible understanding of what different forms built on the root ce- could mean, also in other inscriptions. On a cultural-historical level, a correct reading of the text can contribute to some considerations of marriage, family burdens and women’s legal options in burials in Etruria.
