Abstract
This study explores the relationship between intercultural effectiveness and intercultural competence, including intercultural traits, attitudes, and capabilities, while examining the role of gender. Using Structural Equation Modeling, with a sample of 288 participants, the findings reveal that gender indirectly influences intercultural effectiveness through ethnorelativism. Although females exhibit higher intercultural effectiveness, this effect is mediated by their intercultural attitudes (higher ethnorelativism) rather than direct differences in their traits and or capabilities.
