Abstract
This chapter aims to synthesise earlier and recent research to provide a comprehensive overview of the architectural developments of the Palace at Malia during the Protopalatial period (ca. 1900–1700 BC). It also explores the possibility of collaborative efforts between Knossian and local builders in the reconstruction of the Palace around 1600 BC, during the transition from the Middle to Late Bronze Age, focusing on the construction techniques and practices of the Neopalatial structure.
