Iran e India tra definizione identitaria e dialettica di confine

Abstract
The cultural borders between Iran and India have always been precarious. Since the very first division into the two areas of influence, there have been points of mutual exchange from a linguistic, artistic and religious point of view. Especially Central Asia, which has always been characterized by cultural and religious syncretism, has been one of the most important domains for a successful mixture of Iranian, Indian and Hellenistic elements. The importance of some Iranian features for Indian culture, and vice versa, is fundamental in the process of identity building and the diversification of the two countries. In the meantime, their common Indo-Iranian past represents the basis for a reciprocal acceptance and the possibility of integration within the other society.
