- Abstract
- Chiral liquid crystal with a short pitch can form gratings with very small period and lead to efficient diffraction over large angels. With this approach flat optical devices may be created for incoupling and outcoupling of light in waveguides. The efficiency in a narrow wavelength range is high, which makes this approach very promising for augmented reality displays.
