Abstract
Our understanding of the manifestation of speech disfluencies in children and the criteria used to diagnose stuttering are primarily based on monolingual, English speaking children. The purpose of this study was to describe the disfluencies produced by nonstuttering Yiddish-Dutch speaking children and determine whether these are in line with existing recommendations for a differential diagnosis for stuttering in monolingual speakers.
