Abstract
Conventional nanophotonic emission enhancement neglects excitonic phenomena of diffusion and annihilation. We go beyond the localized Purcell effect and identify the enhancement mechanisms to turn their detrimental impact into additional emission. (c) 2021 The Author(s)
