Project: News media and multiple nation-building in post-war Flanders (1945-1960)

Abstract

This project investigates the role of news media in Flemish and Belgian nation-building processes in post-war Flanders (1945-1960). Through policy analysis, content analysis and critical discourse analysis of the press, radio and filmed news, the project contributes to nation-building studies (an interdisciplinary research field) in post-war Flanders (history) and the role of news media herein (communication sciences).
