Project: Traffic control, network dimensioning and error control in heterogeneous telecommunication networks

- This project aims at developing new techniques for traffic control (TC), network dimensioning (ND), error control and correction (ECC) for heterogeneous IP-based packet networks supporting a heterogeneous mix of traffic types (data, telephony, video, mobile communication) and at analyzing their performance. This implies among other things the study of various kinds of acceptance control (AC), queue management (QM), automatic repeat requests (ARQ) and forward error control (FEC). Specific attention is devoted to developing user-friendly software tools and filing patents based on the results obtained in the project.
