Project: The art theoretical background of Flemish 17th-century art, more specifically of Rubens and his school.

- A hypothetical reconstruction of Rubens' lost notebook containing his view on anatomy, the theory of emotion, the colour theory, etc... is a necessary condition for any study of Rubens' theoretical view of art. Further aspects of Rubens' artistic ideology are in need of elaboration as e.g. his conception of the training of pupils and the theoretical context of the terminology he used in his correspondence.
