Project: Efficacy of different feed additives and of drinking water additives in a necrotic enteritis model in broilers

project duration
01-OCT-09 – 30-SEP-10
Different feed additives and drinking water additives were tested in vivo for their efficacy in preventing necrotic enteritis. Necrotic enteritis is caused by Clostridium perfringens. The use of antibiotic growth promoters suppressed Clostridium perfringens infections but since the removal of AGP, necrotic enteritis infections are reemerging and the industry is interested in efficient ways to treat necrotic enteritis.
