Abstract

It concerns a study of the production of the Kortrijkse Kunstwerkstede Gebroeders De Coene after 1952. In the fifties this wood construction firm underwent a significant modernization. De Coene remained one of the most important furniture firms Belgium, but simultaneously developed a strong reputation a builder of rafters and prefab constructions. It also apporpriated an explicit modern style.
