Project: Individualised cancer chemotherapy by fast quantification of anticancer drugs in serum, plasma or blood

- It has been shown that therapeutic drug monitoring of anticancer drugs would be beneficial in terms of better efficacy and less toxicity. We will develop and validate analytical methods for several anticancer drugs (e.g. busulfan, melphalan, carboplatin, etoposide, fluorouracil) and the results -if significant- can be used to adapt chemotherapy treatment and recalculate doses in function of the drug levels. The methods will be perfomed on LC-MS-MS, GC-MS or ICP-MS and dedicated software will be used to model the pharmacokinetic parameters.
