Abstract

Liquid crystal cells between two polarizers give a transmission spectrum that depends on the wavelength. By placing multiple cells in series, a narrow-band transmission filter can be realized, which is tunable by changing the applied voltage on the liquid crystal cells. Such a component will be built and measured.
