Project: Archeological research of the sone age site 'Leeuwarden - Hempens / N31'

The aim of the project is an archaeological analysis of the stone age site 'Leeuwarden - Hempens / N31' (Friesland, The Netherlands), which was excavated in 2004. It consists of a detailed study of: - the different find categories: the lithic artefacts (ca. 70.000 individual pieces), the plant remains and the charcoal (incl. 14C-datings). - the archeological features and soil profiles. The ultimate goal of the research is a typological, technological, functional and chronocultural characterization of the site.
