Project: Natural resins as potential wood protecting agent.
- project duration
- 01-NOV-95 – 30-OCT-98
- The research focusses on the development of environmentally friendly wood treatments against moisture and biological deterioration based on the utilization of natural resins, replacing conventional biocidal wood preservatives. The project covers the production chain from preselection of resin systems to testing end use products, and hence comprises work on modification of resins, apllication studies, optimization of treatment parameters, material quality testing, disposal of resinated wood and life cycle analysis (LCA).
