Project: Analysis of the molecular mechanisms controlling oxidative stress genes in Arabidopsis thaliana.

- Plants have envolved several enzymatic (SOD's, catalases, peroxidases) and non enzymatic methods to remove ractive oxygen intermediates, which arise during oxidative stress. The Superoxide dismutase genes (SOD's) from Arabidopsis thaliana will be used as a modelsystem to identify transcription factors responsible for the induction of these defence genes.
