Project: Study of expression patterns of various cell cycle genes in tissues of Arabidopsis.
- project duration
- 01-JAN-00 – 31-DEC-99
- Plant cells are produced in mersitems by cell division. Key components of the cell cycle machinary are the cyclins and the protein kinase p34 cdc2. In the Lab of Genetics 2 cdk genes and five cyclins have been isolated. The aim ov this project is to analyse the expression pattern of these genes using mRNA in situ hybridisation. This will be performed on sections of plastic embedded and parafin embedded material. Both radioactive and non radioactive probes will be used.
