Abstract

The action aims to study simultaneous interpreting in its context focusing on cognitive and sociocognitive
parameters. Its main objective is to produce concrete data that could feed the pedagogical reflection. The action
will also set methodological standards in that respect. A second aim is to verify the validity of non-invasive
methods to measure cognitive load and fatigue, such as the fundamental frequency variability of the
interpreter’s voice. Finally, the study will also target cognitive and sociocognitive parameters in the context of a
CAI tool.
