Project: Failure of rhDNase I in cystic fibrosis: the role of magnesium and potassium
2004-01-01 – 2007-12-31
- Abstract
The individual response of cystic fibrosis patients is highly variable with about one third of patients showing no clinical response. We recently found that magnesium and also potassium play an important role in this failure. The purpose of this project is confirm this hypothesis and to determine in a clinical trial whether the clinical effects of rhDNase I in non-responders can be restored using magnesium.
