Project: Specification of Se in food corps: increasing the uptake of bioactive forms

Abstract

The enrichment of food crops with bioactive selenium compounds is studied. Therefore, analytical techniques to identify these compounds are further developed. Factors affecting the uptake of Se by food crops and the effect of Se qupplementation on the growth and quality of these crops, including the uptake of bioactive Se-compounds, will be studied in greenhouse and field experiments.
