Project: Influence of incubating activity on the starting configuration and early growth path of European new technology based firms.
- project duration
- 01-JAN-01 – 31-DEC-04
- Research stresses that European new technology-based firms fail to grow to significant sizes, as some of their US counterparts have done. The aim of the research is a detailed analysis of the early growth phase of technology-intensive entrepreneurial firms in Europe. A combination of quantitative and qualitative techniques will be used to analyze European incubation centers and their spinn-offs. The objective of this research is the mere generalization of the model, which we constructed in a previous research in Belgium, and a further exploration of the components of 'pre-founding incubation' and 'resource base'.
