Project: Integration of ultrasound-based measurements and computational fluid dynamics for the assessment of wall shear stress in the brachial and corotid arteries

Aim of the project is to develop a routinely applicable technique for assessment of the arterial blood flow velocity profile in the vicinity of the vessel wall in an in-vivo setting for estimation of wall shear streses in the brachial artery during non-invasive endothelial function tests and in the carotid artery for the quantification of mechanical aggression exerted on the endothelium.
