Project: A genetic approach of the regulation of the phenylpropanoid biosynthetic pathway in poplar.

project duration
01-JAN-00 – 31-DEC-03
abstract
The aim of the project is to establish the statistical correlation between loci responsible for phenylpropanoid concentration and AFLP markers on the genomic map of poplar. HPLC-PDA-MS/MS high-resolution separation and quantification on-line will give multiple information. Down-regulated transgenic poplars will serve as model in a first approach to the pathway. Possible correlation of phenylpropanoid concentrations with physiological or morphological traits will be found.
