Abstract

The determination of free-hormone serum concentrations is of diagnostic importance in endocrinology. However, commercially available test systems do not fulfill these expectations due to insufficient analytical quality and trueness. There is thus need for development of reference methods, which is this project's aim. After their development, the reference methods would be applied for evaluation and standardisation of commercial test systems.
