Project: Linear codes arising from projective spaces and linear codes meeting the Griesmer bound

Abstract

In this project I study the linear codes arising from projective spaces. Properties of these codes can be found by investigating the related geometries and vice versa. I also study minihypers, substructures of projective spaces closely related to length-optimal linear codes. Some problems about minihypers are related to problems about linear codes arising from projective spaces.
