Project: A chemical genetics approach to study cell cycle regulation during meristem maintenance and organogenesis

The aim of this research project was the identifcation of synthetic molecules that specifically interfered with a certain process of organogenesis (lateral root development). By using a compound screening approach, several of such molecules were identified. The application of these molecules revealed the importance of the auxin precursor indole-3-butyric acid during lateral root development.
