Project: Influence of food related stress factors on the induction of stress resistance and virulence at realistic low contamination levels and adaptation conditions of Listeria monocytogenes

The aim of the project is fourfold (1) to develop a Real-time RT-PCR test for low inoculation levels, (2) to determine growth characteristics at varying stress conditions, (3) to examine the influence of stress conditions on virulence and (4) to validate the developed methods in food with different stress inducing characteristics.
