abstract
During preceeding work, two competitive inhibition ELISA's were developed for the detection of penicillins in food of animal origin: one with the use of monoclonal antibodies and one with the use of polyclonals. Using the monoclonal antibodies, penicillins cannot be detected at their MRL-value. So to improve the sensitivity of the assay, an enzyme linked immunofiltration assay (ELIFA) will be developed. Furthermore, the analysis of samples in an ELIFA is in general faster than in an ELISA With the use of monoclonals and polyclonals specific for sumphonamides, which are being produced, an ELISA will be developed for the detection of sumphonamides in food of animal origin.
