Project: Control of respiratory viral infections in fattening pigs: development of a porcine adenovirus vector and its application as a live recombinant vaccine for the induction against porcine influenzavirus

0001-01-01 – 9999-12-31

Abstract

A porcine adenovirus type 3 vector will be constructed from which the early transcription region E3 is deleted and which has retained the capacity to replicate in the respiratory tract of pigs. A field study will permit to define the proper conditions (age, dosis...) of administration for intranasal vaccination in practice. Recombinant vectors will be developed which contain the haemagglutinin and neuraminidase gene of H1N1 influenzavirus.
