abstract
To test the hypothesis that the essential fatty acid (EFA) status of different groups of patients with liver disease may depend on the etiology, physiopathology, length and extent of the disease and that the disturbances in EFA status may be corrected or improved by dietary interventions with special food fats which are adapted to the physiological or biochemical disturbance of the patient group.
