Project: Evaluation of an optimised auditory evoked potential technique (AEP) for neuro-otological differential diagnosis (Stacked ABR) and a new AEP technique for electrophysiological thereshold determination (Multiple ASSR)

- The project serves a twofold objective. In the neuro-otological domain, we investigate by means of the so-called Stacked derived band ABR-methodology, showing an enhanced sensitivity for all neural frequency zones, both sensitivity and specificity of this method to detect vestibular schwannoma's of about 1 mm or less. The audiological part of the project is based on the measurement of Multiple ASSR's and will determine their predictive value concerning behavioural auditory theresholds in an adult population suffering from various peripheral auditory disorders.
