Project: Role of the phospho-inositol-pathway as second messenger in the working mechanism of serotonin and 5-HT² receptor-antagonists on embryonic chick skin in vitro.

Abstract

Serotonin and 5-HT² antagonists have a direct effect on embryonic chick skin in vitro. The effects of serotonin on platelets and on smooth muscle are mediated by the phospho-inositol-pathway. In this project we want to find out whether this pathway plays a role in the effect of serotonin on skin.
